Privacy Policy

Undial ("Undial", "we", "us") is an on-device screen-time and focus tool. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information, on both iOS and Android. It applies to the Undial mobile app and this website.

1.What stays on your device

• On iOS, Apple hands the app opaque tokens for the apps you choose to limit. We cannot see which apps they are. Your usage minutes are computed on-device and are never transmitted to us.
• On Android, the operating system exposes package names so the app picker can work. That list and your usage stay on your device. They are never transmitted to us.
• Your limits, schedules, escalation settings, and streak history live in local storage on your phone.

2.If you create an account (optional)

An account is optional and only needed for cross-device backup, subscriptions, or accountability features. If you create one, we store:

• Your email address — to sign you in and contact you about your account.
• Subscription state — managed through our payments provider, RevenueCat (we never see or store card numbers).
• An encrypted settings backup that we cannot decrypt. The encryption keys never leave your device, so the backup is meaningless to us or anyone who obtained it.
• "Break-glass" events — e.g. "permission revoked at 21:40." These record that something happened, never which apps were involved.

3.Accountability emails

If you choose an accountability partner, our server sends that partner an email only at your request, rate-limited, containing nothing beyond the event type (for example, that a limit was overridden). No app names, no usage content, no location.

4.Analytics

We collect anonymous product analytics — screen views and funnel steps — to understand which features help people. This never includes app names or usage content. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings → Privacy.

5.What we never do

No ads No third-party tracking No IDFA / ad ID No selling data No location sharing

We do not serve advertising, we do not use advertising identifiers, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell or rent your data to anyone.

6.Your control & deletion

• Delete everything: Settings → Delete account. Any server-side data is purged immediately.
• Export: your data is available as a JSON export on request or in-app.
• Opt out of analytics at any time in Settings.

7.Children

Undial is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8.Security & incidents

Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Backups are encrypted on-device with keys we never receive. If a data incident ever affects you, we will disclose it to affected users within 72 hours.

9.Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
